Dear Parents,
First of all I would like to welcome the new families and welcome back those we already know.
These few lines to report on services after these difficult first two weeks.
Transport: The organization of the secondary with different options and the introduction of the second language in S1 brought changes in the time schedule of the entire secondary. The bus routes had to be adapted and the second departure completely recreated to satisfy some 750-800 children while last year only 100 students were enrolled. 80 lines and numerous stops have been created.
Our network is now spread over three circuits in the afternoon depending on the day and timetable of students.
The problem that occurred is that our electronic registration system could not support different departures (PM1, PM2 and / or PM3) and gave you a partial confirmation of your lines. This led to confusion and caused enormous delays. Do not hesitate to consult the schedules published on the Transport page. In addition, numerous construction sites in Brussels and around do not facilitate the planning that can only be adjusted after a trial period and reopening of universities and colleges which will further increase the daily traffic.
The transport office has received numerous e-mails that cannot be replied immediately. I would ask you to be patient and not overload the mailboxes with daily reminders as it only delays the answers you need. I would also add that our switchboard saturates, why some of you feel that it is picked and hanged up without answering, which is not the case.
Rest assured that the entire team is working around the clock to resolve the issues and respond to you. In addition, we have to prioritise resolving issues with our existing subscribers before processing new enrolments
Regarding the canteen, a control system with badge has been established. It should be operational in a few days. Since this is also a new system, some passages will probably be needed to get everything working properly.
Thank you to kindly explain this to your children in a positive way.
I wish everyone a great school year 2014-2015.
Joëlle Salmon
President.
