Zenabou Mbamba

Pedagogical Vision

‘Teaching is above all about helping children to discover their own creative potential, while helping them to develop technical and artistic skills that they can reinvest in other areas’.

Zenabou trained at the Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle (INSAS) and the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, combining her theatrical skills with her passion for the audiovisual arts.

During her time at INSAS, she explored a variety of creative projects: stage writing, performances, hybrid forms and audiovisual techniques, particularly through radio creations and video projects, enabling her to combine theatre and cinema.

With a background based on active teaching and influenced by experimental trial and error, she has developed a vision of teaching centred on research and the creative process rather than on a predefined outcome.

Through the ‘Movie Makers’ workshop, Zenabou encourages children to develop their artistic intelligence, creativity and autonomy by experimenting with a wide range of theatrical and cinematographic techniques.

She sees the workshop as a meeting place for themselves and others, a safe and fun place to work, where children can explore new forms of expression through video, develop their skills and take a critical look at the world around them.
