L’APEEE de Bruxelles IV is hiring an Accountant
Description of the General Affairs department:
The post of Accountant is part of the General Affairs department, a cross-functional department that supports the 3 technical services: canteen, transport and extracurricular activities.
Job description:
An accountant responsible for accounting, financial and budgetary management. The accountant will work under the direction of the Director of the APEEE, in collaboration with the members of the Executive Committee responsible for the various departments and in close collaboration with the Treasurer. The post reports to the Director of the APEEE.
Your role:
- Preparing and encoding invoices
- Preparing payments and invoices
- Paying ALE cheque orders
- Paying volunteers
- Monitoring clients and suppliers and the investment of term funds/liaison with the bank
- Daily/monthly/quarterly/annual bookkeeping, preparation of annual accounts for publication (balance sheet, profit and loss account, social balance sheet and comments)
- Preparing quarterly reports on the accounts for management and the Board of Directors
- Reporting to the auditors: preparation of documents and follow-up with the auditors to obtain the audit report
- Working with the social secretariat to draw up all documents and declarations relating to social legislation
- Insurance monitoring
- Preparation of payment certificates for parents
- Back up for the APEEE director (occasional assistance)
Profile :
Technical Competences :
- University degree or equivalent professional training in accountancy
- At least 3 years’ professional experience
- Excellent organisational, planning, analytical, comprehension and oral and written communication skills
- Multi-skilled: the sole accountant is responsible for keeping current accounts in general accounting and also carries out analytical accounting.
- Knowledge of the structure of the APEEE and the school (organisation, environment and various stakeholders)
- Accounting knowledge, such as closing operations and drawing up profit and loss accounts
- Knowledge of general regulations, legislative procedures, internal rules and practices
- Administrative knowledge (human resources and/or management and/or budget and/or finance and/or IT and/or legal aspects, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of French and English
- Knowledge of the tools required for the job: compta sw, Office 365, etc.
