Mathias Euillet

Pedagogical vision

Nothing is more beautiful than the sound of a guitar, except maybe two.

Since his birth in Montreal in 1998, Mathias has been exposed to diverse cultures that have profoundly shaped and inspired him. Born in Canada to Hungarian and French parents, he moved to Morocco at the age of 10.

His musical education began at the age of 5, first on piano, then on guitar. He met many musicians and teachers (Antigoni Goni, Dusan Bogdanovic, Patrick Kearney…) who helped him broaden his artistic and musical horizons. Today, he holds a master’s degree in classical guitar from the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles (KCB) and a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in Montreal. His repertoire ranges from classical music to rock and folk music from all the countries he has encountered along the way, and beyond.

For the past 3 years, he has been teaching in various music schools, mainly to children and teenagers, as well as in private lessons to adults.

His philosophy of music teaching includes the acquisition of good technique, while stimulating the student artistically and intellectually for his or her own personal enjoyment.
