The Charity concert held on January 8, 2018, orchestrated by three APEEE of Brussels on the initiative of Catherine Daguet-Babich, President of the APEEE of Brussels IV, had brought together the school communities of these three schools.
We would like to thank Mr. Giancarlo Marcheggiano, Secretary General of the European Schools, Mr. Simon Sharron, Director of the European School of Brussels II-Woluwe, Mr. Anastassios Papadopoulos, President of the APEEE of Brussels III-Ixelles, Mrs. Evelyne Goffin, Professor at EEBIV and Mr. Andrea Babich, President of the Students Committee for their interventions.
They all took the floor, followed by Cynthia Simpson, President of the Asbl “Solisdarité Grands Froids”, to give their support to this charity evening which aimed to raise public awareness on the actions carried out by the Asbl “Solidarité Grands Froids” and demonstrate the importance of collaboration between all European Schools.
The European School of Brussels IV-Laeken has therefore decided to include the development of charity projects at EEBIV and a closer cooperation between the four European Shools of Brussels in its multiannual plan.
This evening was also the opportunity to discover a talented young pianist named Alberto Ferro, who received both the “Prix du Public Musiq’3” at the Queen Elizabeth Competition in 2016 and the first prize at the Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn 2017.
Finally, 1 255€ was raised for “Solidarité Grands Froids” and the Eureka team of our school has donated clothes to the association.
Thank you all for this evening filled with music and solidarity !
