Since childhood, Cécile has been sensitive to sounds and music, born between 2 concerts of her father violinist.
At the age of 7, she entered the Brussels Academy of Music to take flute lessons, because she wanted to play like the little bird in Peter and the Wolf.
She has been playing the flute for nearly 30 years, and has attended numerous courses and workshops at international schools with professionals such as Jean Prévot, Pascale Simon and Marie-Cécile Stévant.
She learned to play the guitar as a teenager to accompany her singing.
As a young adult, fascinated by Irish Celtic culture, she learned the basic steps of Irish dance, as well as the Celtic harp. She trained with harpists such as Maria Palatine and Jessica Dahmani.
Cécile has always worked with children, whether in schools as an animator and librarian or in nature, guiding children and reconnecting them with natural sounds.
She performs in concert with her folk harp group Cordaventura in Belgium and France, and in classical and jazz chamber music on flute and harp.
Like her harp, she has many strings to her bow.
