On 7th of May 2019, the Educational Support team of APEEE organised an information session with the cooperation of the European school on the educational Support Policy in Laeken.
The two educational support coordinators – Mr. Mattuscheck for primary and Ms. Ponceau for secondary – presented the objectives, the different types of support, the resources and some statistics.
They also answered parents’ questions.
The Educational Support Team of APEEE gathers some of the parents who have a child with learning needs or other interested persons and meets once a month.
The objective of this working group is to disseminate information on educational support, the procedures to follow to obtain it and improve the quality of this support.
For school year 2019-2020, this working group would like to organise one or two conferences on topics relating to learning needs and to co-operate with the pedagogical committee and APEEEs of the other European Schools to exchange best practices.
