The goal of the first semester is to give children their first contact with musical writing. They will discover the treble key and learn to identify its first five notes (do, re, mi, fa and sol) and to write them in the five musical lines.
The children will become familiar with how guitar strings work. They will learn to hold their instrument properly and position their fingers correctly on the strings.
To deepen their musical understanding, the children are introduced to the rhythm and duration of the musical notes: round, white and black, through musical games.

At the end of the year, they are able to string together a succession of notes on the guitar to make a pretty melody.
They practise writing down the notes and playing them on their guitar.

To make progress and avoid forgetting from one week to the next, the teacher recommends regular practice at home.

Children are asked to bring their own guitar (if necessary, spare equipment is available at the school).

If you would like advice on what equipment to bring, please contact the extracurricular office, who will put you in touch with the teacher: periscolaire@bru4.eu
