HSWGThe APEEE has set up a Health and Safety Working Group for parents who wish to contribute to developing the APEEE's position on these important topics. The first meeting (announced by class rep email) took place on Monday 28 April 2014.

On 29 April 2014, the APEEE was represented in a meeting with the Echevin for the Ville de Bruxelles in relation to the mobility plan for the school. Apparently, the Commune is working on a 'Plan d'aménagement' to improve the safety of access via the Drève Saint Anne which will include better signposting for the school and additional pedestrian crossings. In the meantime we would ask all parents who come to school by car to drive with caution and to keep an eye out for pedestrians and cyclists when accessing the car park.

padThe APEEE Extra-Curricular Activities team organised its inaugural ‘Performing Arts’ Day on 2 April 2014 to showcase the talent of the pupils from EEBIV currently participating in Dance, Music and Drama Activities as part of the Extra-curricular activities programme. With over 40 pupils performing, there was plenty to watch and listen to! The teachers were on hand to answer questions from the parents and give some personal feedback.

With special thanks to the school for lending us the facilities and of course, to all our talented performers, we look forward to repeating the event next year.

Don’t forget that if you want to enrol your child any of the APEEE’s extra-curricular activities next year, enrolments will open on 17 June 2014. The APEEE also offers a wider range of sports and cultural activities. For more info consult the website!

We are looking for parents to join the "Behaviour working group N/P", the "Anti-bullying working group S" and the "Sexuality education working group N/P". No special experience is required but we are looking for parents who can commit for at least one year. The three working groups are set up by school with participation from teachers and deal with issues which are very important for the school community as well as for each individual child. Therefore, an appropriate representation of parents in these groups is needed. The parents' representative should ideally become member of one of the parents pedagogical working groups (N/P and/or S) to ensure a close link and transparency with these groups. The parents' representatives should support the school in the implementation of their policies but should also present the parents' view.
