Virages : Conference on 12 April 2018

How to recognize bullying from a simple argument or a conflict? How to react? As a parent, how to deal with bullying?

On April 12, 2018, a conference has been hold about bullying prevention in the Charlemagne building from noon to 2pm. The prevention group of the APEEE invited Maria Leo, psychotherapist with the Virages association, to talk about the action carried out in the European school of Brussels IV with the P3 and S1 classes.

Maria Leo addressed the difficult issue of bullying and explained the different role-playing games conducted by the association in the primary classes in the second term of this school year. She then described how parents can be involved and how the Virages association can intervene in a case of school bullying by giving the bullied child the necessary tools to overcome the situation.

This conference met with great success: many parents were present as well as the three directors of our school, Mr Manuel Bordoy, Mme Isabelle Verwilghen and Mr Markko Mattus.

We warmly thank all those who attended the conference as well as Maria Leo for having clearly explained how to deal with school bullying and how to help the child be an actor of his own defense.
